In 2005, Tom Kaps and Paul Rosario had been providing interior and exterior cleaning and maintenance services for The Home Depot stores across the region for a number of years.
When The Home Depot asked if they could help them address particularly troublesome bird issues at one Home Depot location, Tom and Paul began researching and working with every available bird control product and technique used in the industry at the time.
Much of the company’s expertise was gained through trial and error as they found solutions to eliminate bird infestations at one Home Depot store after another.
Eventually Tom, Paul and the Flock Free team identified Methyl Anthranilate as a key component in safely and effectively eliminating birds from large retail environments. However, they also discovered that the various delivery systems that had been developed to distribute MA all failed to fullfil their expectations in one respect or another. Eventually, Flock Free elected to design and build their own MA hazer equipment, working closely with the developer of Methyl Anthranilate to develop a series of machines that effectively and economically eliminate birds across a variety of retail, public facility, agricultural, aviation and hospitality settings. The Home Depot remains our client after 25 years, as we continue to grow our business, expand our solutions and offer our customers the best in commercial bird control.
