A different way to manage mosquitoes around your property

Mosquito control works better when you treat the places mosquitoes actually use - not just the open lawn and not only the mosquitoes you happen to see flying. Flock Free Mosquito Spray is designed as an outdoor territory treatment that repels adult mosquitoes and mosquito larvae, helping interrupt the mosquito life cycle and reduce mosquito populations over time.

The goal is not to promise an instant, permanent fix. The goal is to make the places mosquitoes rest and breed less favorable, stay consistent through the season, and reduce mosquito pressure over time.

Why choose the 4 oz concentrate?

For many homeowners, the 4 oz concentrate is the easiest place to start. It gives you enough product to treat a typical small-to-medium residential property without committing to a large seasonal container before you know your own application routine.

The concentrate is especially useful when mosquitoes are spread across the yard rather than limited to one patio or seating area. You control where the finished spray goes, so you can treat the vegetation, shaded resting sites, property edges, and mosquito-prone areas that matter most.

At the standard maintenance rate of 1 fl oz per gallon of water, one 4 oz bottle makes up to 4 gallons of finished spray. For an initial treatment at 2 fl oz per gallon, it makes up to 2 gallons. Exact property coverage varies with the amount of finished spray you apply per acre and with site conditions.

What Flock Free Mosquito Spray does

Flock Free Mosquito Spray uses a plant-based formula designed to affect mosquitoes through their exposed breathing structures (spiracles) while working as a repellent across treated territory. The practical result is a three-part mosquito-management strategy:

Repels adult mosquitoes
Treat the shaded vegetation, property edges, and outdoor resting areas where adult mosquitoes spend much of the day.

Repels mosquito larvae and discourages breeding
Treat mosquito-prone areas and the surroundings of breeding sites so the property becomes less favorable for the next generation.

Supports ongoing population reduction
Regular applications help interrupt the life cycle instead of relying on a one-time treatment of flying adults.

Also repels ticks. Flock Free should not be represented as a product that kills mosquitoes or ticks; its approved role is repellency and ongoing mosquito-management support.

Where to spray

For better results, focus on the cool, shaded, damp, and protected areas mosquitoes prefer. Open lawn can be treated, but it should not be the only target.

  • Shrubs, hedges, bushes, ornamental plants, and dense landscaping - including the undersides and interior foliage where mosquitoes rest.
  • Lower tree branches, shaded trunks, tree lines, fence lines, wooded borders, and property edges.
  • Tall grass, overgrown areas, shaded corners, areas beneath decks, behind sheds, and around air-conditioning equipment.
  • Vegetation around patios, decks, porches, pools, gazebos, play areas, outdoor seating, and other places people spend time.
  • Areas around standing-water sources and breeding sites such as bird baths, plant saucers, drainage areas, low spots, ponds, water features, and containers that collect rainwater. Remove unnecessary standing water whenever possible.

How to use the 4 oz concentrate

  • Shake the concentrate thoroughly before measuring.
  • For the first treatment of a new or untreated property, add 2 fl oz of concentrate per 1 gallon of water.
  • For normal maintenance applications, add 1 fl oz of concentrate per 1 gallon of water.
  • Fill the sprayer with water first, then add concentrate and mix thoroughly. This helps reduce foaming.
  • Apply to mosquito resting areas, breeding-site surroundings, shaded vegetation, property edges, and outdoor living zones. Do not spray only the open lawn.
  • Reapply approximately every 3-4 weeks under normal mosquito pressure, or according to label directions and local conditions.

Handling and equipment: When working with concentrate, wear eye protection and gloves, avoid prolonged skin contact, and keep concentrate out of reach of children and pets. A sprayer is required and is not included.

What to expect - and when to reapply

Flock Free is intended for ongoing mosquito management, not a one-time "spray once and forget it" treatment. A single application can provide protection for up to about 4 weeks under normal conditions, but mosquito pressure, rainfall, vegetation density, and application quality all affect the interval.

For routine maintenance, reapply approximately every 3-4 weeks. During periods of heavy mosquito activity, frequent rainfall, high humidity, or unusually favorable breeding conditions, shorter intervals may be appropriate according to label directions.

Light rain after the product has dried is generally not a problem. Heavy rainfall that washes treated surfaces may reduce performance; if a significant downpour occurs soon after treatment, reapply when conditions allow.

Designed for real outdoor spaces

Flock Free Mosquito Spray is formulated with plant-based ingredients that qualify for the U.S. EPA FIFRA 25(b) exemption for minimum-risk pesticide products. It does not rely on the conventional synthetic insecticides commonly used in many traditional mosquito treatments.

When used as directed, it is intended for outdoor use around residential landscapes and activity areas including lawns, patios, decks, play areas, shrubs, gardens, ornamental plants, vegetable gardens, and fruit trees. Avoid direct application to people or animals, food, pet bowls, and actively feeding pollinators. Allow treated surfaces to dry before children and pets resume normal unrestricted use of the area.

What's inside

Active ingredients: thyme oil, garlic oil, corn oil, geraniol, clove oil, citric acid, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, and sodium chloride (salt). Other ingredients: water, vinegar, saponified coconut/palm oil, isopropanol, and potassium sulfate.

Important: Plant-based does not mean risk-free. Always read and follow the product label, use the recommended dilution and application interval, and take normal precautions when handling concentrate or spray mist.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 4 oz concentrate the right size for my yard?
It is the recommended starting point for many homeowners with a small-to-medium residential property. If you only need to treat a patio or deck, choose the Ready-to-Use spray. If you have a larger property or expect many applications during the season, the 32 oz concentrate may be more practical.

How much finished spray does one 4 oz bottle make?
Up to 4 gallons at the standard maintenance dilution of 1 fl oz per gallon, or up to 2 gallons at the initial-treatment dilution of 2 fl oz per gallon.

Do I need a sprayer?
Yes. Mix the concentrate with water in a hand-pump, backpack, garden sprayer, or other compatible application equipment. The sprayer is not included.

How soon should I reapply?
For normal maintenance, approximately every 3-4 weeks. Heavy rain or unusually high mosquito pressure can shorten the interval.

Can I use it around children, pets, plants, and ponds?
It is intended for outdoor use around normal residential activity areas when used as directed. Do not spray people or animals directly; avoid pet food and water bowls; let treated surfaces dry before unrestricted access; and follow label directions around ponds, fish, gardens, and pollinators.

Does it kill mosquitoes?
Flock Free Mosquito Spray is positioned as a repellent and mosquito-management treatment. It repels adult mosquitoes and mosquito larvae, helping interrupt the mosquito life cycle and reduce mosquito populations over time.

What do our customers say?
Flock Free's mosquito control product has been an outstanding addition to my company inventory this season. Flock Free's performance was superior to microencapsulated synthetic pyrethroids.

From a business perspective it saved time by not requiring PH balancing or adding IGRs, technicians loved that there were no PPE requirements or "burn" associated with synthetic products, and customers demonstrated their appreciation by having less than a 1% respray rate. I'd recommend it to any company looking at expanding services into the green market.

I wanted to share results I had using the Flock Free Mosquito control product.
My daughter's ornamental shrubs were loaded with Japanese beetles. I added 5-6 ounces of the concentrate to a garden hose sprayer and saturated the shrubs. In 15-20 minutes to the beetles were dropping off and dying. We then treated adjacent shrubs and plants and same results.
Obviously we were all thrilled with results! I will certainly use this product again for similar situations!
